Trading Betfair – Hints & Tips for December 16th

Today I am going through the Lingfield card with my thoughts race by race so hope this works for you? See below.

Results from Yesterday
THREE WINNERS and some steers for BtLs. Faramman drifted like a barge and Glorious Dane was backed as if it couldn’t lose … and it didn’t winning by 7l. So read the NB below.

NB About 80% of all money traded on a race comes in the last 10 minutes. 50% in the last 5 minutes. If you see big market moves either in or out then take heed!

TODAY’S TIPS:
NAP OF THE DAY:
FORTUNE FINDER Lingfield 2.45
See below

BACK TO LAY
KRAKA  Kempton 7.05
Likes to lead and will find that a little difficult from stall 12. However Hollie is on board and I will hope she gets out quickly and gets over to the rail. Should then trade lower in running. If not cash out. Not a confident choice.

LINGFIELD
11.30  Don’t like this race. Very open with not a lot of talent on display. I would definitely take on the favourite who won LTO under a good ride from a young rider. However, Blue Whisper is up 9lbs and that’s a lot for a horse who won’t have built in improvement.
12.00  Unforgotten would need to be anything special to win this FTO and Gosden is the right man to train one FTO. However money has come this AM for Possible Man who has Moore on board for Stoute so watch the betting.
12.30  Another race where we are looking for find the best of a relatively poor bunch. In this situation, it is the betting and looking for a likely improver that is often the key. I have landed on I Am The Secret who was running on nicely in a 6f event LTO and now the extra furlong and some improvement could win this. Frow has been consistent but Marquand jumps ship to the selection and Arranmore has some hidden talent. Moore is on Mustaqqir but I’m not enthusiastic but he might get a tune out of him. Watch the betting again!
1.00  Primo Bacio should be there about based on what he has done so far – the question will be will there be a newcomer who is better FTO? Leisurewear has had support this AM.
1.35   As with the 1.00 Bint Al Anood is the form horse based on two reasonable runs but money has come in good quantities for Elegant Queen for Roger Varian who had a nice FTO winner yesterday.
2.10  Don’t like this race as it points to Sir Hector but I don’t like Carson as a jockey – he’s unreliable and has a strike rate of 7.5% on the AW. So I was looking for a BtL and couldn’t see an obvious candidate. Valentine Blue is lightly raced and was a running on 4th LTO at Kempton, has Marquand on board so might be a Place opportunity.
2.45  Fortune Finder is why Ryan is at Lingfield – I believe.
3.20  Melburnian rates a lay now at 16/1, as I feel the very inexperienced rider needs more time and this horse needs strong handling. My Girl Maggie from the Johnston stable appeals as she is returning to handicaps which will make life a little easier. Oliver Stammers is also decent.

Best of luck if you are trading.
