|Today it’s hints & tips for Newcastle.|
NAP – WINNER
BtL – Traded from 8 to 3
LAY TO BACK – Van Djke once again traded at 30+ so if you laid him at 2.2 you really should have made some money!!
TWO DAYS in a row all three best bet = THREE WINNERS.
ALSO Alminoor was an OK BtL but Zylan WON at 5.03, Bay of Naples also WON at 2.81 and Arcavallo paid 100%+as a BtL plus we hinted Dark Side Prince, Delph Crescent and Susie Javea.
OH by the way Hugh Taylor picked two of mine today – Bay Of Naples and Amazing Amya. Maybe you’re on the Newsletter mailing list Hugh?
NB About 80% of all money traded on a race comes in the last 10 minutes. 50% in the last 5 minutes. If you see big market moves either in or out then take heed!
NAP OF THE DAY:
TATHMEEN – see below
LAY TO BACK
It Just Takes Time – see below (LAY him at 2/1 but make sure you back him in running to give you a return if he wins!!)
BACK TO LAY
HEER WE GO AGAIN – see below
4.30 A very tricky opener where we have some form lines and then a couple who might be anything. Absolute Dream is only slightly preferred over Broctune Red because this is over 1m and not 7f. Dramatista is also in the same level and I like Tudhope so I am finding it difficult to choose. The betting should help. What i can tell you is that I am not thinking Like Sugar is a worthy favourite and certainly not as short as 2/1!
5.00 Jack Of Trades looks very fairly treated with an opening mark of 77. His last two starts suggest that he has already achieved that level and so with the expected improvement he should be hard to beat here.
5.30 Al Maktoum has an expensive newcomer here who is trained by Roger Varian and could be anything. Abrag disappointed LTO and may do better on this galloping track? Not a race I’ll get too heavily involved in as there’s little to go on.
6.00 Chosen World has won or been placed 10/12 runs here over C&D He’s back down to an attractive mark and with the consistency I would feel pretty sure he’ll be fighting out the finish. Nordic Fire is also consistent having finished in the places on 3/4 runs over C&D and on form lines has the beating of several of these. The one that looks the most difficult to assess is Pivitol Decision who is well bred, comes from a stable in form and who is on a pretty lowly mark. Watch the betting as this may guide better than me at this moment.
6.30 Fahey is having a purple patch with a 21% SR over the last 14 days and Elusive Treat may be the answer to this tricky little affair. Silent Queen won on Fibresand and this form may not transfer to Tapeta. It Just Takes Time is a Van Djke character, outpaced early, traded high, then mowed them down and won going away. A big, long-striding horse, he is now 9lbs higher and in a deeper race so may arrive on the scene too late (LtB?)? Global Vision is from an in-form stable and Kevin The Minion is a potential Karl Burke special with a visor on for 1st time on handicap debut (watch the market for that one).
7.00 Tathmeen looks the answer here. He’s a 5 times course winner and can reverse LTO C&D form with Pearl Of Qatar.
7.30 Not easy but I think this will be between El Hombre and Outrage. Heer We Go Again will want to try and make all again after his LTO win with similar tactics and so I will probably focus on the BtL angle.
Best of luck if you are trading.
