|Today I am going through the Wolverhampton card with my thoughts race by race so hope this works for you? See below.

NAP – WINNER!
BtL – WINNER!
Race by race 3 Winners and a couple of places.
NB About 80% of all money traded on a race comes in the last 10 minutes. 50% in the last 5 minutes. If you see big market moves either in or out then take heed!
NAP OF THE DAY:
ROYAL PLEASURE Wolves 8.00
BACK TO LAY
CHITRA Wolves 5.30
See below and also see below for other steers for possible BtLs
4.00 TURANGA LEELA likes this course and distance and shot in a quick fire double about this time last year. Repeat likely.
4.30 De Little Engine makes a modicum of appeal in a race with is full of a modicum of talent. There are maidens who might get off the mark, horses needing to bounce back but the selection looks consistent and therefore is taken to be there or there about. Possible place bet?
5.00 Thai Terrier (recommend BtL) is from the Mark Johnston stable with Ben Curtis on board. The issue is can he last out this 1m5f219yrd trip when the most he’s done before is just under 1m4f? He may well lead and try to kick off the final bend so could trade very low and may even win but look out for something coming from nowhere in the last 1/2f (like Figeac).
5.30 Can the talented Adam McNamara get Chitra out in front from stall 1 and then stay there? Back to Lay material and has a great chance of winning this. There are a couple of LTO winners in the field but they aren’t reliable and can’t be taken to follow up. Of the two Mutabaay may be best.
6.00 This is a terrible race and I can’t even make out the best worst nag. Holloie Doyle may get something out of Beauty Stone but I would look at the betting and do very little on a place bet?
6.30 Irreverant makes most appeal returning to a surface he has done well on. Richard Fahey is a very good trainer. There has been a lot of money this morning for Golden Force and I feel he is a little too short at 7/4 and may provide a decent lay to back opportunity with Striding Edge the only confirmed front runner maybe offering a BtL option?
7.00 Another for Hollie Doyle with Regal Eagle an Irish import having only his second run for his new stable. Harlequin Rose is the main danger having won LTO over C&D and only 3lbs higher now.
7.30 Truly awful affair this with only one win sign in all the horse’s current form. A right rag tag bunch. Brothers In Arms has the win and is consistent but really don’t bother this could go to a three legged donkey.
8.00 From a most uninspiring contest to a really interesting one. One leg of Royal Pleasure could buy all the nags in the 7.30. 110,000gns worth running for the second time for Sir Mark P. Already money coming and so this one will be trying to land two gambles in a row (where better than a cold December evening in the last race at Wolverhampton to land a gamble!!). Maktoum’s newcomer should have a nice easy FTO.
Best of luck if you are trading.
