Free Horse Racing Tips 3rd August – 53.1% STRIKE RATE

With a 45.8% strike rate in June, 53.1% in July and a great start to August, is regularly providing winning bets. There are five free horse racing tips 3rd August. Not all bets provided as free horse racing tips 3rd August will be for a straight win. The five free horse racing tips 3rd August will be for a win bet, a win bet with advice to lay off your stake in running to achieve a no liability free bet, a place bet and a back to lay.

The free horse racing tips 3rd August come from Goodwood, Thirsk, Musselburgh, Wolverhampton and Newmarket:

BATTAASH – 15.35

“This is a fairly straightforward race to assess, Battaash, much the best of these, should take all the beating no matter how he is ridden. He showed last year when winning this race he doesn’t have to lead, but it could be a case of none of these will be good enough to go with this speedy four-year-old, and he can make his class tell. Three-year-olds Havana Grey and Sioux Nation could pick up the pieces”. This is what TIMEFORM says and I won’t disagree. If you can get evens bite their hands off.

NEW WINDS – 13.30

Has been racing in much higher grade, finding the Chesham too hot. Silvestre De Sousa is a favourite of mine and makes the long trek from Goodwood to Thirsk and so must have some good chances – but none better than this! I think he’ll get a double at least.

ITLAAQ – 17.40

These amateur races are always a bit of a lottery but in my experience the best jockey gets the best ride. Serena Brotherton is the standout experienced jockey in the field and has won on the selection two outings ago at Ripon. At 5/1 we have a choice PLACE or Back to Lay. Well the back to lay won’t work because the horse will need holding up so we should do a TOP 4 PLACE bet at around 1.8 on betfair exchange. A small win wager might also pay but if you want to do that go in running and place it after about 2f when Itlaaq will be at the back and the odds will have lengthened.

This horse has blistering early pace and even drawn 6/7 she will be out in the lead and 2l in front coming out of the turn. She has won at this track with these tactics and is a four time C&D winner but in lower class events. Will she get home? I doubt it as there are some decent sorts in here but Island of Life, the likely favourite, is making her Tapeta debut and Captain Lars is probably the one to fear most. However at 7/1 (8.8 on Betfair) we only need Krystalllite to trade at 4.4 to double our money. So this is the perfect back to lay proposition today. Kieran O’Neil is not my favourite jockey but can do the steering job just fine. Scott Dixon is a decent trainer.

This is not a confident choice but is born out of logic:

  • James Doyle (one of a few notable jockeys coming up from Goodwood – Will Buick is the other)
  • The horse has shown a liking to galloping testing tracks with good performances at York and Newbury.
  • William Haggas is one of my favourite trainers.

He’s not a great price but a small win bet at around 3.3 on betfair exchange, laying your stake off at say 2.3 should give a chance of a risk free profit. provides free tips most days to help you bet smarter.
