Free quality tips for Royal Ascot – Day 3

Mike from InsideTraxs.co.uk previews Day 3 at Royal Ascot and provides FOUR free quality tips with rationale which should help you choose a winner. The free quality tips are based on sound facts, background research and statistics which means they are not just plucked out of nowhere. The four free quality tips are:

ROYAL ASCOT:

KONCHEK – 2.30

Green but won really well at Newmarket – a very similar open galloping, up hill finish, track. Then ran a close third to Vintage Brut over the stiff 5f at Sandown. Drawn in the widest stall 8 he didn’t have the best of runs and was finishing well. Vintage Brut on the other hand was drawn 1 and ran up the golden highway against the far rail and had the run of the race. Konchek can reverse that form. Worry must remain that there is a really progressive type in the other runners and one will come out of the pack at a price. However on Timeform ratings it should be between the top two and so we will be putting a small win bet on Konchek and a saver PLACE bet.

KEY VICTORY – 15.05

The Hampton Court Stakes has been dominated in recent years by Godolphin and they run three here this year. The stable jockey William Buick chooses Key Victory and that for me is enough to get my vote and the strategy will be to bet the horse to get a PLACE.

WILD ILLUSION – 15.40

Second in the Oaks trying to overcome the coffin stall 1 at Epsom (see my video on what happened to the Oaks Favourite. That effort needed to be marked up and if she had won then would be odds on for this race.

ORDER OF ST GEORGE – 16.20

This is the mount of Ryan Moore who last year was beaten a short head by Big Orange in a thrilling finish. Ryan by his own admission found himself badly placed and he believes he should have won. So he is out to right that wrong. Totally proven on th track, over the distance and on the ground, Order of St George has beaten all his main opponents at one time or another over shorter trips. Stradivarius is unproven over the trip, Torcedor did beat the selection at Naas but over 1m7f having got first run from the front – as you all know from previous blogs and vlogs Ascot is one of the most difficult tracks in the country to front run on. The unknown quantity is theFrench runner Vazirabad who missed the race last year because the ground was too firm and isn’t proven on the course or distance. These are too many unknowns to allow anyone in their right mind to back the horse with anything more than a wish and a prayer – which we don’t do here.
