Free racing tips for Saturday's cards 16th June 2018

InsideTraxs provides free racing tips most days when there is decent racing on. The free racing tips we provide consist of straight win bet recommendations, place bets or other betting strategies which we feel will make money.

Today’s free racing tips are below:

BATH:

POET”S SOCIETY – 16.10

Won last night over at Goodwood making all to beat the useful Pour La Victoire. The pace analysis at Bath shows that front runners have a significant advantage over the 1m distance (strangely this isn’t the case over all distances and over 6f it is a distinct disadvantage to be a front runner). Ridden by an apprentice yesterday he now gets the assistance of Silvestre De Sousa who is a great judge of pace and comes here to little Bath rather than York or elsewhere more salubrious. He has other good rides and I expect him to have at least two winners here today. As with all front runners that we identify and tip it is certainly worth considering a “back to lay” but with his current price around 2/1 and in a four runner field I think this is a straight win bet.

YORK:

PACIFY – 13.50

My go to in any ladies amateur race is Serena Brotherton who is worth a good 6lbs over her nearest rival. Today she rides for Raf Beckett for the first time, a trainer who doesn’t often dabble in these sort of affairs. So good trainer, the best lady amateur jockey – so what about the horse. Pacify’s last two runs have been in Cl2 races at Epsom. The first one over 1m 2f where he was running on never nearer 4th then next time a fading 6th over 1m 4f to the talented Dashing Spice. Many commentators are questioning his stamina but I don’t. York should suite better as there are no ups and downs and camber to worry about, and if Serena uses the hold up tactics of the first of the two Epsom runs then we should see him looming up between the 2f and 1f poles and take over inside the final furlong. Certainly if you can get over 7/1 do so and the Place bet on Betfair Exchange is currently 2.8 or just under 2/1. This is definitely worth a strong PLACE bet and a decent win bet to back it up.

MARMELO -15.00

Ryan Moore decides to go to York rather than Sandown. Marmelo is smart and group class and is now competing in listed company. Ryan takes the ride for Hugie Morrison and unless he runs well below form is expected to win this. I expected him to be odds on and currently the best price you can get is 7/4 – so take this and you could double your money before the off!!

CHESTER:

FOOL FOR YOU & MIDSUMMER KNIGHT -15.45

You don’t get many tipping sites that tip a forecast bet. However at Chester the record over 5f is that doing combination forecasts of the inside three stall makes a profit see video. What I expect to happen here is:

  1. Midsummer Knight (stall 3) takes lead and goes to the rail with a burst of early speed
  2. Fool For You (stall 1) tucks in behind on the rails and get tow into race from the leader
  3. Fool For You takes over in the straight – but it will be close.

The advised bet therefore is a Reverse Forecast on stalls 1 & 3.

SANDOWN:

Unfortunately there is little at Sandown that stands out.

    REVIEW OF RACING RESULTS:
    Poet’s Society – WINNER
Won again really gamely. Looked beat 1.5f out but just didn’t give up and won well in the end.
    Pacify – SECOND
Recommended big place bet and win bet. If you did this then you should be well ahead. Traded as low as 1.16 as he was produced late and fast but just beaten by a horse who veered off a straight line. I think if they had been closer together then Pacify would have had something to compete against in the last 50 yards. If you got more than 7/1 then you should have made money before the off as his starting price was 9/2.
    Marmelo – WINNER
This is why you back Ryan Moore!! Ryan is the absolute best at keeping galloping horses balanced and then producing just that bit extra. I haven’t done the stats but I would guess Ryan has the best stats on winning in tight finishes. Marmelo may get further and is worth following at least next time out.
    Fool for You & Midsummer Knight – 2nd & 3rd
Gold Filagree and Nicola Currie win in classic Chester style. If you want to look at a race on how to beat the draw bias look at this one ( https://www.racinguk.com/videos/watch/horse_racing_replays/80779 ). If he hadn’t got out so fast and over to the rails, slowed the pace down and then kicked on leaving the bend then we would have had the forecast!!!!!
