FREE tips for flat racing 10th June 2018 at GOODWOOD and NOTTINGHAM

TWO FREE tips for flat racing at Goodwood and Nottingham on Sunday 10th June:

GOODWOOD:

SEE OF ROME – 14.35

Had shown a good deal of promise and was progressing nicely for Richard Hughes winning off today’s mark at Salisbury. He like to be prominent and so I expect him to be handy but hopefully not lead as front runners have a very poor record around Goodwood at 1m3f44y. His odds are predicted to be around 7/1 which I think are fair and as there are 8 runners declared a small win bet and a reasonable place bet might be the most rewarding strategy.

NOTTINGHAM:

COMPANY ASSET – 15.30

This is a very tentative pick as commonsense tells you that the highest rated horse for the weight being carried probably has the best chance of winning. So Company Asset is 1lb well in with the best of the rest – Titti Makf and 2lbs well in with Cribbs Causeway. At 7/2 he has to be worth a bet as the favourite needs to show decent progress to win this.

    REVIEW OF RESULTS
    Company Asset – FIFTH
Clear today that you had to be handy as it was really hard to make up ground in the straight. So for Tom Eaves to drop Company Asset so far out the back meant she really had no chance – which is something I hate. At least put your horse in the race and if it’s good enough then it will win. To me today it was like putting in golf and leaving it short (“never up never in” as my Dad used to say).

    See of Rome – FIFTH
Panko looks like a very well handicapped horse and will almost certainly be sent out in the next 12 days under a penalty. See of Rome really not good enough. Held up close to last he had absolutely no response to pressure coming down the straight and so never got close to being involved. Must go to a front runners track next time out and be ridden prominently.
