InsideTraxs provides FREE racing tips at 3 race meetings on Monday 11th June:
LIVVYS DREAM – 14.00
I like to look for 3yr old filly races where the winner only gets a 4lb penalty. Often that 2lb lower mark (normal penalty is 6lbs) means that they have that much better chance to follow up. So Livvys Dream is one of those and if she can be got at 5/2 take it. She is from the in-form Charlie Hills yard and has the assistance of the best jockey in the race in Jim Crowley.
IMPART – 16.30
Impart has plummeted down the weights winning at Ripon over 6f this time last year off 83 he is now running off 60 (16lbs lower than Feb this year). Laura Monagan, the Epsom trainer, doesn’t have many winners but has done OK at Brighton and the jockey David Probert is pretty good here too. I guess he’ll be at least 7/1 so worth a modest flutter and place bet.
SHANGHAI SILVER – 19.20
Most of the runners have something about them but nothing really stands out. So I’m using the inside knowledge I have that over 1m3f Windsor favours front runners and Shanghai Silver is the only horse to have won front running. He also makes his turf debut and either he is worse on turf than all weather, the same or better. As long as he is not worse he should be able to get the lead and Gerald Mosse is definitely good enough to keep him there. At 7/1 or better he is worth a small win bet and a decent place bet.
ALSVINDER – 21.10
I’m putting a line through the Carlisle run on Friday as he stumbled out of the stalls, wasn’t well placed and couldn’t get a run and so never got into the race. This will be entirely different. I believe that as long as he breaks well he can dominate from the front. At 6/1 there are several betting strategies here:-
- “Back to Lay” – Place £x on at 6/1 (or better) on betfair exchange then place a bet of £2x on the in-running market at half the odds ie at 3/1. This gives you double your money as long as Alsvinder actually does get out in front. If he doesn’t consider a cashout. (I am doing a video on how this works next week).
- Place bet only – here again you’ll get somewhere near evens on the pace market at Betfair Exchange.
- Win only or win with a place bet to get your win bet back.
