Two Blondes put in a decent performance at Ascot on her first time out in a hot Novice event. The form of that race is working out OK with Mutwaffer (21/4l in front) winning at Goodwood next time out. Two Blondes disappointed at Ayr when a hot favourite loosing out to a Richard Fahey hotty (Fahey has had quite a few 2 yr old winners who have been very forward and runs Zip here). Two Blondes ridden by Graham Lee on that occasion appeared to get unbalanced on the slight undulations and I think was too exposed. Must See The Doc who finished well behind Two Blondes that day came out and won at Doncaster next time out.
There have been two withdrawn horses from stall 3 and 5 which means that Two Blondes is effectively drawn 4 which will boost his chances. The change of jockey from Graham Lee to Silvestre De Sousa will also be a big plus as SdS has a 26% strike rate at Leicester with a level £1 stakes return of nearly £34 over the last 5 years. Mick Channon also has a fine record here at Leicester with a 22% strike rate and £36.30p return to a £1 level stake.
CONCLUSION – Two Blondes has some good form in the book and with two non runners drawn on his inside his 6 stall is in fact now the 4 stall. With a top jockey and trainer for the course he should be difficult to beat.
