FEATURED VIDEO

Today’s featured video is:

“The Classic “Back to Lay””

How do you choose a back to lay candidate? Can you make 100% return on your money without your horse winning? Here we show you what to look for in a “Classic Back to Lay” and how to get 100% return even though the horse finished 6th out of 8!!

NAP OF THE DAY

The NAP OF THE DAY runs at Lingfield in the 4.20.

SUNDIATA

Has done well in his three starts to date and now looks leniently treated (OR 63) in his handicap debut. Charlie Hills is an above average trainer and is just getting going after the winter break (he had a winner at this course just over a week ago).

Richard Kingscote (top of the Championship but not Premier League) takes the ride – he has a 19% strike rate over the last 14 days and a 23% SR at this course.

MAKE MONEY USING BETFAIR

Back to lay bet for today:
The Back to Lay runs at Lingfield in the 3.45.

DOCTOR SARDONICUS

This horse has won twice at Wolverhampton in the last 12 months using the same tactics – get out in front and stay there.

He has a wide draw (8/10) and there is only one other horse in the race who has won using front running tactics and that is Gracious John. Gracious John won a listed race at this C&D in February 2018 off 110 and is now rated 99 so must be feared if he can reproduce that form. However the selection has shown in his Wolverhampton win over Gracious John that he has more early dash.

Richard Kingscote, one of my favourites and a great front running exponent, takes the ride for boss Tom Dascombe.

If he doesn’t get out in front then Plan B will probably be needed.

The chart below shows that he has traded at 25%+ of his BSP on all 10 of his last outings.

Advice: Back to Lay looking for 25% profit.

FALSE FAVOURITE & PLACE VALUE

FALSE FAVOURITE Lay bet for today:

HARRY’S BAR Kempton 6.00

I may be wrong as this pairing of George Wood and James Fanshawe won a couple of days ago with a useful youngster in Tiger Eye and then at this track on 9th March with Merchant of Venice. BUT this horse has only run once, a not “beaten about” 5th in a minor event, and will need plenty of improvement to beat a couple of these – therefore 7/4 is too low.

Recommendation: LAY at 2.82

PLACE VALUE bet for today:

DAME FREYA STARK  Kempton 7.00

Twice raced has done OK but will do even better as her stamina is used. Joe Fanning is the master of front running and will try and use her stamina on these inexperienced opponents.

Betfair 1.9 for a place is great value.
