TIPS OF THE DAY – HAMILTON 6th June 2018

BROKEN SPEAR – 2.00

Another false favourite at 6/4 who has the best form in the race but equally has run four times being second and third twice each. This gives the impression that he might have an issue getting his head in front and that doesn’t bode well over this stiff 6f. Axel Jacklin and Look Out Louis could lower his colours once again.

LAUGH A MINUTE – 3.30

Sir Dancealot is a nice sort but his record of winning is not great. I’m therefore opposing him with Laugh A Minute who is far from exposed and comes from the in form Roger Varian stable with one of my favourite jockeys Andrea Atzeni on board.

AASHEQ – 16.00

Well bred and won nicely last time out at Chester. Tim Easterby has started the season well and with some progression AASHEQ should have a great chance to do the double.

    REVIEW OF RESULTS:

    BOKEN SPEAR
As predicted Broken Spear was favourite because nothing else stood out. Too short in the market and with several questions to answer he was beaten by Look Out Louis – name also provided as one of two likely to lower his colours.

    LAUGH A MINUTE – 3rd
Unlucky as was boxed in on the rails and was all over Kimberella in front of him. When he did get a run it was all too late.

    AASHEQ – WINNER
Did have to work for this win but I think the jockey always knew he had enough and so only did enough. Probably worth a little more for this win and could win again next time out.
