|Today I am going through the Wolverhampton card with my thoughts race by race so hope this works for you? See below.|
Results from last Saturday
Great day with plenty of WINNERS!
NB About 80% of all money traded on a race comes in the last 10 minutes. 50% in the last 5 minutes. If you see big market moves either in or out then take heed!
NAP OF THE DAY:
WHATWOULDYOUKNOW Wolverhampton 4.05
BACK TO LAY
AMOR DE MI VIDA Wolverhampton 6.40
4.05 Whatwouldyouknow is a winner LTO here over C&D and now has the assistance of the most experienced jockey in the field Simon Walker. HT makes a strong case for Lunar Magic but that horse is now quoted by Ladbrokes as a 3/1 shot which it isn’t. Richard R H B is also a LTO winner and the jockey although relatively inexperienced has a 25% SR over the last 12 months so takes his chances when they are presented.
4.40 Faramman is a long way ahead in the official ratings. None of the others looks like an improver in disguise so you would logically have to go for the obvious choice – however selling stakes races rarely return logical results!!
5.10 Quite an open race with an interesting handicap debutant, Blow Your Horn, who is being supported in the morning markets. Sandret makes plenty of appeal if he recaptures some of his 2019 form of a decent mark with Marquand aboard.
5.40 River Choice sets the standard but a few could bet better than OR73 so not one for me this. Follow the money is the general rule in races like this!
6.10 Hoodwinker looks a decent sort and I don’t see much in the opposition to feel he will take all the beating.
6.40 This race has the makings of a real scrum going into the final bend. Amor De Mi Vida will be coming across from stall 11 along with Mokaman from stall 6 and Miss Nay Never out of stall 1. The break neck speed will hopefully set things up nicely for Night Narcissus to swoop late. Could get messy though!!
7.10 This is a tough wide-open handicap with many in with a chance. I will go for Critical Thinking as he is back to one of his favourite tracks and Kingscote is one of my favourite hard working jockeys. De LIttle Engine won well LTO and should be there abouts but I think might have come to a ceiling.
7.40 Doctor Nuno stands out among a fairly mediocre lot. Not a race to get too excited about!
8.15 Affwonn is attracting support and based on that you would not want to be against this one. Roger Varian is now up there with the best and the Gosden horse will be the one to watch late on in the betting. Take heed and follow the money.
Best of luck if you are trading.
